RETREATS AND VACATION RENTALS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read the terms and conditions that apply to your retreat and/or rental booking carefully.

These terms shall constitute the agreement between Casas Kismet and the Client relating to the subject matter herein and shall constitute a binding agreement.

By booking a retreat and/or vacation rental you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions including the cancellation policy and limitation of liability.

BOOKING FOR VACATION RENTALS

Cancellations:

Cancellations 14 days or less from the reservation check-in date forfeit full amount of reservation.
Cancellations will not be refunded due to family emergencies, cancelled flights, closed roads, weather, etc.
100% of the total amount of the reservation will be charged in the case of a “no-show”.
Additionally, should you depart the hotel earlier than your scheduled check out date, the amount charged for the unused nights on your original reservation cannot be refunded.

Reservation Date Changes:
No Fee for date changes 14 days or more from the reservation check-in date.
Subject to rate changes and availability.

BOOKING FOR RETREATS

By making a booking with Casas Kismet Boutique Retreats you accept on behalf of yourself and all those named on the booking to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Casas Kismet reserves the right to increase and decrease retreat prices and the right to decline any booking at their discretion.

DEPOSITS RELATED TO RETREAT BOOKING

Deposits vary depending on the retreat type. Retreat hosts have he options to set their own deposits for their participants. Please verify with your upcoming retreat to verify deposit amount and if it is refundable or not. Deposits and can range from $200-$1000 and maybe non-refundable.

If you are hosting a retreat a non-refundable deposit of $2000 will be due to reserve your dates. 60 days prior to the start of your retreat another non-refundable deposit of $5000 will be due. The remainder of your retreat cost is due 30 days prior to the start of your retreat.

CANCELATIONS RELATED TO RETREAT BOOKING

We highly recommend retreat hosts and their guests purchase ‘cancel for any reason’ travel insurance when they book a retreat. You can find such insurance policies through Trawick International, which is accepted in Costa Rica

If you are attending one of our upcoming retreats please check the terms and conditions set by your retreat host/leader. We do not provide any refunds for guests participating in retreats hosted by outside facilitators.

If you are hosting a retreat and cancel within 30 days of the retreat start date you are fully responsible for the cost of the retreat. If you cancel your retreat less than 60 days prior to your retreat you will not receive your deposits back as they are non refundable.

There is no refund if you do not show up or leave early for any reason. No refund is available if you attend a program and are dissatisfied with its presentation or content.

PRICING + FEES

All retreats and rentals are quoted and payable in USD. Casas Kismet Boutique Retreats is not responsible for any fees incurred due to currency exchange or fees charged by your credit card/bank for processing funds in another country.

If you are hosting a retreat you are solely responsible for collecting payments from your guests and paying Casas Kismet

MEDICAL CONDITIONS + SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

The Client must notify Casas Kismet Boutique Retreats by writing or on your registration form if you have any medical conditions, pregnancy, disability or any other mental and or physical condensation which may affect fitness to travel and/or participate in retreat activities. It is the Client’s responsibility to check prior to booking if the retreat is not suitable due to Client age, mobility, disability, pregnancy or physical or mental condition. Casas Kismet is not required to provide any special facilities unless it has agreed to do so in writing. Casas Kismet will do its best to meet Clients special requirements including dietary, but such requests do not form part of the Contract and therefore Casas Kismet in not liable for not providing these requests.

AIRFARE + GROUND TRANSPORTATION

All retreats and rentals at Casas Kismet do not include national or international airfare and do not include any form of ground transportation.

TRAVEL + HELATH INSURANCE

Since October 26th 2020 Costa Rica lifted the requirements for negative RT-PCR testing prior to travel into the country. They still require purchasing health and lodging insurance and completion of the digital Health Pass.

Insurance requirements include the following:

Validity of the effective policy during the visit in Costa Rica.
Guarantee of coverage for medical expenses in cases of pandemic disease COVID -19 in Costa Rica, for at least US $50,000 (fifty thousand dollars of the United States of America).
Minimum coverage of US $2,000 for extended lodging expenses due to pandemic illness or trip interruption/cancellation due to illness, which covers the extra cost of the passenger due to quarantine.

You will need to have travel insurance in order to fill out your Health Pass 48 hours prior t your trip. Once you have filled out your Health Pass you will get a QR code that you will need to either print or have available on your phone. If you print the QR code it must have your name printed as well.

Health Pass is available at https://salud.go.cr Starting 26 January 2021 individuals traveling back into the United States will need to provide the airline a negative Covid test 3 days prior to departure.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Valid Passport: The Client must be in possession of a valid passport required for entry to Costa Rica. Insurance policies are required for the entire stay in Costa Rica. Client accepts full responsibility for obtaining such documents prior to the start of the retreat.

EXCURSIONS AND INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS

Excursions, shuttle services, and additional add ons can be arrange with local operators and/or subcontractors. Liability of Casas Kismet will not extend to that of any supplier.

SAFETY

We take your safety and well-being very seriously, which is why we partner with licensed companies and trained professionals for our retreats. It is ultimately the Client’s responsibility for their own safety which is why we ask all retreat participants to sign a liability waiver before departure.

PHOTOGRAPHY

In the course or participation with a retreat at Casas Kismet, photos or video may be taken by participants or guides. These images may be used in any Casas Kismet materials, website, Facebook, etc., unless Clients specifically request to the photographer or in writing to Casas Kismet Boutique Retreats, to not use any material in which your image is depicted. Otherwise, permission is granted to Casas Kismet perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes.

LIABILITY AND ACCEPTANCE OF RISKS

Casas Kismet Boutique Retreats is not responsible for any improper or non-performance of any services forming part of the Contract which are wholly attributable to the fault of the Client, the unforeseeable or unavoidable act or omission of a third party unconnected with provision of any services to be provided under the Contract.

The Client hereby assume all risks and does hereby release Casas Kismet Boutique Retreats from any damages or injuries or death resulting from inherent risks. At the time of payment, the Client is required to sign the Casas Kismet RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTIONS OF RISKS AND INDEMNITY OF AGREEMENT.

WAIVER OF BOOKING CONDITIONS

When a client completes and submits the Retreat Booking Form, they agree to accept all these conditions, and when the booking is accepted, Casas Kismet agrees to carry out the obligations as defined therein.

UPDATING OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Casas Kismet Boutique Retreats reserves the right to update and/or alter these terms and conditions at any time, and is the Client’s responsibility to be familiar with them. The latest terms and conditions may be found on Casas Kismet website.
